Based in our offices in Longueuil, the Electronical Engineer will be part of our engineering and R&D team. They are a creative problem solver and will be a fundamental contributor to new product introduction, product improvement, and R&D, taking charge of specific projects and assuming decision‑making roles and responsibilities in these projects. Their contribution will help Lumenpulse evolve to the next level.
YourResponsibilities
- Design the architecture, testing, and debugging of PCBA and multi‑board systems;
- Coordinate production transfers with the Operations department;
- Collaborate with other departments for prototyping, new product demos, purchasing group, etc.;
- Be on the lookout for new technologies, propose R&D activities as well as improvements to existing products;
- Implement and manage the electronic design process and maintain documentation while ensuring compliance with procedures and project approval sequences;
- Independently manage projects encompassing the integration of hardware, firmware, and software;
- Provide sporadic technical support to production or engineering departments;
- All other related tasks.
- Excellent technical and “hands‑on” skills: debugging, fault analysis, signal and power analysis, etc.;
- Knowledge of several EDA tools and simulations;
- Knowledge of PLM and ERP tools;
- Demonstrate leadership in all phases of product development;
- Being an entrepreneur, being able to organize his time and adapt dynamically to priorities under minimal supervision;
- Ability to navigate in a fast‑paced and growing environment;
- Ability and enjoy working both alone and in a team;
- Have excellent written and oral communication skills in French and English;
- Able to easily realign priorities to match requests and deadlines;
- Commitment to customer service excellence.
- Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering, combined with at least one year of experience;
- Any other university or college training deemed equivalent could be considered;
- Experience with Altium Designer (asset);
- Experience in an ISO 9001‑2015 environment (asset).
- Knowledge of international regulatory and safety requirements (FCC, UL, CENELEC, etc.);
- Working knowledge of on‑board communication protocols (SPI, BLE, UART, Wi‑Fi, DALI, DMX
512), US electrical codes, and wiring practices; - Knowledge of optics and knowledge of Solidworks;
- Ability to work with internal and external clients on custom and semi‑custom projects.
