Leadership d’une équipe dédiée au support Design avec expertise manufacturière, résolution de tous les problèmes liés à la productibilité et à la fabrication chez les producteurs de l’opération (supply chain, manufacturing interne et partenariats) pour les composants de turbomachine conçus par P&WC. Ce poste est à temps plein du lundi au vendredi, avec des horaires flexibles, basé à Longueuil et effectué exclusivement en présentiel.
What will your day-to-day look like?
Lead a team of manufacturing experts located in Canada and Poland to address all aspects related to the producibility of parts for current and future engines, with increased focus on Manufacturing Engineering Parts of Concern (WIM-1048).
Create and implement methods, tools, and metrics to achieve manufacturing-ready designs leading to parts that can be delivered ZNC (Zero Non‑Conformance) on‑time, repeatably, at target cost and that can be produced by different suppliers. Within the IPT, be responsible for the approval of manufacturing aspects of drawings.
Support, with the NPI IPT and the Industrialization organization, reviews for the entire turbo machinery module components, sourcing and manufacturing strategy (including PPAP plan with a list of unique part numbers and mitigation for common hardware issues) (refer to QMSP 07-05-02).
Develop producibility knowledge documentation based on market feedback studies and new technologies.
Contribute to cost reduction strategies at the turbo machinery module level, such as transition projects, in cooperation with the Strategic Sourcing organization and producer’s representatives.
Ensure commitments, budget tracking and resource planning are met.
What do you need to be successful?
Engineering degree with a minimum of 15 years of relevant experience. Master’s in mechanical engineering is an asset.
Capability to manage a team and demonstrate strong leadership.
Strong communication skills, both internal and external, with accountability and organization.
Excellent understanding of manufacturing methods and production readiness approaches (such as MRL, APQP and SPC – Process Certification).
Good understanding of gas turbines and associated quality processes.
Solid knowledge of RLPM (MMP 220), IPT (MMP 219) and Transition (MMP 300) processes and methodologies.
Understanding of the turbo machinery module’s producibility objectives (stable and predictable cost and quality, with a consistent process).
Maintain constant interaction with the MED and PWEH to leverage the latest technological advancements in mechanical manufacturing.
Promote the ability of the team to influence the design team to use innovative manufacturing processes to achieve performance, quality and cost objectives.
Participate in manufacturing technology research in collaboration with MED, internal operations, engineering R&D and PWEH as needed.
Demonstrate adaptability, ability to work under pressure and accommodate priority changes.
Availability for travel on short notice and support off‑hour requests.
Work is part of a French‑speaking environment; requires strong English for daily documentation and communication with international stakeholders.
