Are you passionate about AI/ML and have hands‑on experience in practical applications?

Join us in revolutionizing the energy industry! We're forming a special taskforce to identify efficiency needs from various perspectives and develop cutting-edge solutions using AI and data management. Be a part of Project NOVA(Next-gen Optimization with Visionary AI) and work directly with our CEO andsenior leadership team, enjoying full freedom to innovate.

This posting covers three engineering tracks within Project NOVA — Mechanical, Electrical,and Industrial/Process — each helping bridge the gap between engineering and AI innovation. As an AI & ML Intern, you'll apply your technical expertise toguide model selection and ensure AI solutions meet real-world engineering needs. Candidates should indicate their preferred track(s) when applying.

Your Tasks:

Across alltracks, interns will:

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify AI/ML opportunities and gather data requirements.
  • Design,build, and deploy AI/ML models.
  • Analyze large datasets to extract insights, trends, anomalies, and opportunities for improvement.
  • Support data preprocessing, feature engineering, and model evaluation.
  • Document development processes, methodologies, and results for project reports.
  • Present findings to stakeholders using visualizations and reports.
  • Stay current with AI/ML advancements and bridge engineering and AI requirements.
Areas of Focus Mechanical Engineering
  • Foundational understanding of finite element analysis — structural dynamics, modal analysis,eigenvalue problems, and mode shapes.
  • Proficient in Python with hands-on experience using Num Py and Sci Py for numerical data processing.
  • Experience with 3D visualization libraries — PyVista, Matplotlib, or Plotly.
  • OpenFOAMor fluid-structure interaction experience is a bonus but not required.
Electrical Engineering
  • ApplyAI/ML techniques using Azure Machine Learning.
  • Knowledge of Azure cloud platforms.
  • Experience with vector databases (e.g., Pinecone).
Industrial / Process Engineering
  • Analyze production and operational processes to identify inefficiencies and bottlenecks.
  • Assistin designing AI/ML algorithms to optimize industrial processes and improve operational efficiency.
  • Abilityto translate customer needs into technical specifications.
Requirements:
  • Pursuing or recently completed a degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Industrial/Process Engineering, Mechatronics, or a related field.
  • Strong understanding of machine learning algorithms.
  • Proficiency in Python, R, or Java; solid coding experience required.
  • Experience with AI/ML libraries (e.g., Tensor Flow, PyTorch, scikit-learn).
  • Experience with data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI).
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, and presentation skills.
  • Ability to translate real-world engineering needs into technical specifications.
