This Position reports to:

Position SummaryThe Senior Financial Analyst plays a strategic role in analyzing, planning, and managing the company’s financial performance. This position provides in-depth analyses, prepares detailed reports, and supports strategic decision-making. The role requires strong analytical skills, professional rigor, and excellent communication abilities.
This position contributes to ABB Canada’s Electrification division and is based in Saint-Jean-sur-Richelieu
.
The work model is primarily on-site
, with 4 to 5 days per week in the office.
- Analyze financial results and management reports.
- Develop and monitor annual budgets.
- Prepare financial forecasts and profitability analyses.
- Identify and assess financial risks.
- Standard cost management: establish, analyze, and adjust standard costs.
- Cost calculation process optimization: collaborate with production and accounting teams to improve cost accuracy.
- Provide strategic recommendations to management.
- Ensure compliance with accounting and regulatory standards.
- Develop financial models and perform benchmarking analyses.
- Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs).
- Present financial results to stakeholders.
- Contribute to the improvement of financial processes and participate in cross-functional projects.
- University degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field.
- Significant experience in financial analysis (5+ years).
- Proficiency with office tools and financial software (Excel).
- Strong analytical and organizational skills.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Critical thinking and attention to detail.
- Fluency in French and English. English is required to communicate with clients outside of Quebec.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Leadership and influence to guide strategic decision-making.
- Proactive mindset and strong initiative.
- Adaptability in a constantly evolving environment.
- Collaboration and teamwork: ability to work effectively with multidisciplinary teams (finance, operations, production) to achieve shared objectives and foster a cooperative work environment.
