Position: Electronic Technician (Service)

Job summary

Under the authority of the Customer Service Coordinator, the Electronic Service Technician is responsible for repairing and updating devices in the service department.

Description of key responsibilities

Unpack defective devices

Locate and repair faults on devices

Change defective parts

Enter the data concerning the repairs in the system

Perform fine welding

Assist technician outsideof our organisation

Inspect and test devices

Check the performance of devices using measuring instruments

Carry out repair reports

Report assembly faults

Assembly of “jigs” for service

Prepare cost estimates

Make required changes on devices

Pack repaired devices for shipment

Prepare parts orders according to the order forms of the service centers

Obtain parts from the internal warehouse keeper

Manage the parts inventory for the service department

Skills

Have good organizational skills

Demonstrate rigor and attention to detail

Good analytical and problem solving skills

Good visual acuity

Excellent manual dexterity

Passion for hi-fi audio

Requirements

College diploma in electronics OR DEP in electronic repair

5 years experience in electronics

Good knowledge of written and spoken French

Knowledge of written English

Good skills with computers and database

Familiar with various electronic measuring instruments, oscilloscope, multimeters and soldering iron
