Senior Data Solution Architect

A career as a Senior Solutions Architect with a major in Data within the Technology and Operations team at National Bank means acting as a specialist in the design and evolution of highly data‑driven solutions. This role allows you to have a positive impact on the organisation by leveraging your expertise in architecture and data.

Your job

Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to define data management solutions across various business contexts.

Influence technological directions and guide teams in the adoption of services, tools and frameworks related to Data Vault using DBT.

Design modular, secure, cloud‑based architectures.

Ensure the consistency, quality and compliance of solutions by working closely with development, data, infrastructure and cybersecurity teams.

Participate in the implementation of end‑to‑end solutions, including data pipelines, data lakes, data warehouses, data vaults, integration of analytics and AI tools, and monitoring mechanisms.

Diagnose complex issues and propose directions that ensure the robustness, performance and security of deployed AI solutions.

Your Team
You report to the Senior Director, Solutions Architecture. The Solutions Architecture team you will join is made up of approximately twenty specialists who work in an agile, proactive and collaborative manner to seize opportunities, stay at the forefront of technology and continuously improve processes.

Prerequisites

Bachelor’s degree in software engineering, computer science or a related field, and several years of relevant experience in solutions architecture within complex environments.

Hands‑on experience in data architecture projects (ETL, Data Warehouse, Data Mesh, Data Vault) as well as analytics platforms.

Strong knowledge of the following technologies:
Snowflake, DBT and SAS Viya (an asset).

Experience designing solutions that integrate data, APIs, microservices and technological governance mechanisms.

Knowledge of modern development practices, CI/CD, application security and continuous integration.
