contribution!

Reporting to the Director - Shared Financial Services, the Senior Manager Accounting will play a key role in overseeing the organization’s accounting activities for a 12-month assignment. The incumbent will coordinate financial close processes, prepare and review financial statements, maintain rigorous internal controls, and provide support for audits and tax compliance. They will also contribute to the continuous improvement of accounting processes and financial systems, while leading and supporting a team of professionals in a dynamic and growing environment.

Your

day-to-day!
  • Oversee monthly, quarterly, and annual financial closing activities.

  • Review and approve journal entries, account reconciliations, and sales tax returns.

  • Ensure the preparation and accuracy of financial statements.

  • Coordinate the preparation of audit files and annual tax returns.

  • Participate in the budgeting process and prepare value-added financial analyses.

  • Ensure that rigorous internal controls are maintained and contribute to the improvement of accounting processes.

  • Collaborate with internal teams, particularly IT, to optimize financial systems and the ERP.

  • Participate in various special projects and respond to ad hoc requests from the organization.

  • Supervise, motivate, and support a team of accounting professionals.

  • Participate in the recruitment, onboarding, training, and development of team members.

Your skills, our requirements!
  • Bilingualism (French and English, both spoken and written) is required to ensure collaboration with various stakeholders outside Quebec on a recurring basis.
  • A minimum of 8–10 years of accounting experience

  • The position is based at the company’s headquarters in Longueuil, steps away from the Longueuil-Université de Sherbrooke metro station.

  • This position is at the M2 level.
