Senior Manager of Manufacturing Engineering

Who are we?

XNRGY Climate Systems  is a North American leader in sustainable design and advanced manufacturing of custom air treatment systems focused on research and energy development contributing to the reduction of carbon footprint.  XNRGY  is seeking a qualified  Senior Manager of Manufacturing Engineering  to join its team located in St-Hubert.

As  Senior Manager of Manufacturing Engineering  at the StHubert plant, you will own the entire manufacturing system—people, processes, machines, and digital infrastructure—across all value streams from raw material to finished product. Leading with a safety‑first mindset, you will drive volume growth, production efficiency, and predictable operations, while executing highly technical process improvements in areas like spot welding, bending, cutting, spray painting, automated fastening, and assembly.

You’ll deploy and integrate  MES/ERP, connected tools, and automation systems  as the backbone of operations, providing finance and production data, enabling root‑cause problem solving, and ensuring inventory accuracy. Leveraging automotive manufacturing principles adapted to HVAC production, you will create scalable, high‑performing, and precise manufacturing operations.

This is a role for a  builder and change driver  — someone who thrives on action, mobilizes people around a clear vision, and brings clarity, speed, and accountability to execution.

An overview of your responsibilities:

Safety & Operational Excellence

Drive a safety‑first culture across all value streams, proactively reducing risk and improving ergonomics.

Support and scale volume growth by improving throughput, quality, and efficiency.

Lead lean‑driven continuous improvement initiatives (e.g., Kaizen, SMED) to optimize value streams.

Value Stream & Process Leadership

Map, own, and continuously improve end‑to‑end value streams, ensuring smooth material and information flow.

Apply and adapt automotive manufacturing principles (lean, standard work, flow) to HVAC production.

Design jigs, fixtures, and production methods to reduce cycle time, work content, and improve ergonomics.

Lead process improvements for critical technical operations (spot welding, bending, spray painting, automated screws, etc.).

Work with Engineering on Design for Manufacturing (DFM) to drive manufacturability, quality, and cost optimization.

Monitor and improve process reliability metrics: first‑pass yield (FPY), scrap reduction, and COGS impact.

Digital Systems & Automation – The Backbone

Lead MES/ERP deployment and configuration that provides real‑time production visibility, financial reporting, problem‑solving data, and inventory accuracy.

Integrate connected tools, automated test machines, and production analytics to drive continuous improvement.

Oversee automation projects (PLC, HMI, controller integration) to improve flow, reliability, and accuracy.

Align digital initiatives with Operations, Supply Chain, Engineering, and Quality to maximize business impact.

Machine & Equipment Optimization

Track and improve machine utilization and OEE across fabrication, assembly, and finishing lines.

Implement technical process improvements to key machines (welding, bending, cutting, painting, fastening) to raise uptime, quality, and throughput.

Leadership & Team Development

Build and mentor a high‑performing engineering team: process engineers, methods agents, tooling designers, etc.

Collaborate cross‑functionally to prioritize projects, deliver value‑stream improvements, and ensure execution.

Standard Work & Documentation

Develop and maintain method drawings, standard operating procedures (SOPs), and work instructions to enforce repeatable, high‑quality production.

Standardize technical process documentation across value streams to support training and continuous improvement.
