What you need to succeed DEC (college diploma) in electrotechnics, industrial electronics or industrial electronics technology
Expertise with predictive analysis equipment and machine condition monitoring
Recognized expertise in machine safety
Strong understanding of lockout/tagout rules (audit)
Marked problem‑solving skills and analytical mindset
Ability to read electrical and electrotechnical plans
Interpersonal skills: teamwork and a positive attitude
Familiarity with computer systems, Windows OS and the Microsoft suite
Basic knowledge of English required for specialized work instructions, drawings and technical terms
What your day will look like Work from verbal or written instructions, drawings or control management programs regarding methods and equipment to use. Disassemble, repair, clean, inspect, solder, modify, reprogram, assemble, test, isolate, troubleshoot and adjust various electrical and electronic components to meet specifications. Inspect and certify airworthiness condition of parts. Determine repairs or modifications to be made. Restore surface finishes by performing required treatments such as painting and touch‑ups.
Complete and approve required documentation and perform necessary computer transactions. Inspect, adjust and accept or reject parts and accessories. Maintain appropriate records of parameters to enable efficient operations using statistical process control. Make decisions regarding continuity of operations, consult with planners and recommend changes to operating parameters to meet specifications. Communicate with technical support, quality assurance and other services to clarify, assess and resolve issues related to accessories or methods and provide an assessment.
Follow up and implement established dispositions. Make necessary adjustments for final installation of the accessory directly on the stored engine or during testing. May be required to operate several closely spaced machines simultaneously.
Specific job responsibilities Participate in the development of new processes, products and reworks to select methods and tools
Wash, preserve, pack, identify and move parts while ensuring compliance with standards and specifications
Retrieve required items from stores and bins and report material issues and needs to the supervisor
Perform routine maintenance to ensure, among other things, adequate fluid levels, clean filters and general machine condition per checklists
Maintain equipment and work area clean and in good condition
Participate in training and share knowledge with teammates on equipment and tasks
