Longueuil, QC, CanadaDescription:We are seeking a hands-on Production / Repair Technician to join the Longueuil team. This role sits at the intersection of quality and repair, where you will be responsible for identifying product failures, performing root cause analysis, and ensuring issues are resolved to maintain production quality standards.
Your work will directly support customers and help maintain efficient production operations. This is a fully bilingual role requiring fluency in both French and English (written and spoken).
Responsibilities:Customer RMA Failure AnalysisReceive, log, and triage customer-returned units from RMA claimsPerform systematic failure analysis to identify root causes (electrical, mechanical, workmanship, or design-related)Document findings with clear, reproducible failure analysis (FA) reports including failure mode classification and corrective actionsConduct functionality testing using multiple test stations to ensure product integrityDiagnose and rework PCBs using soldering and rework techniques (through-hole and SMD), including component-level replacementOperate mechanical tools including hand tools, torque drivers, and precision measuring equipmentAssembly Line Reject AnalysisPerform failure analysis on units flagged as rejects at inspection points (IQC, in-process, OQC)Identify defect patterns and escalate systemic issues to Engineering and Quality teamsSupport root cause investigations and verify effectiveness of corrective actionsGeneral ResponsibilitiesMaintain accurate records in the quality management systemFollow SOPs, work instructions, and ESD handling protocolsContribute to continuous improvement initiatives on the production floorRequirements:+ years of hands-on experience in electronics manufacturing, repair, or testingProficiency in PCB soldering and rework (SMD and through-hole)Experience performing failure analysis and writing FA reportsAbility to read schematics, BOMs, and technical work instructionsFamiliarity with test equipment such as oscilloscopes, multimeters, and power suppliesStrong attention to detail and structured troubleshooting approachAbility to communicate technical findings clearly to technical and non-technical stakeholdersFluency in both French and English (required)Preferred Qualifications:IPC-/ certificationKnowledge of IPC Class or IPC-A- workmanship standardsExperience with battery management systems or electromechanical assembliesBackground in consumer electronics, EV, or mobility hardwareExperience using Jira or other ticketing systemsProficiency with Google Sheets or Microsoft Excel
