Machinist, Overhaul Center

Pratt & Whitney Canada is inviting applications for a machining position in a French‑speaking work environment.
Responsibilities   Use various machining processes; analyze and improvise fixtures and methods; perform necessary calculations and programming.
Calculate and program changes for machining to compensate for dimensional variations of tools, gauges, parts or machine condition using computer software.
Set up, adjust and operate equipment such as sandblasting and polishing machines and waxing/de‑waxing tanks.
Perform quick maintenance tasks, minor epoxy repairs and installation of details.
Interpret part views and dimensions.
Select or improvise fixtures and clamping methods according to the part to be machined.
Desired Skills   Ability to work well in a team.
Interest in mechanics.
Manual dexterity.
Analytical mindset.
Basic knowledge of English to understand specialized work instructions, drawings and technical terms.
Education   DEP in Machining Techniques (vocational diploma)
Mechanical Engineering Technology
Aerospace Engineering Technology
Experience  Ideally, the candidate will have one to two years of experience.
