The role involves comprehensive consultation to staff and families, leveraging your experience in geriatric mental health to improve care standards. With at least two years in the field, you will help develop behavioral interventions and provide education to various staff levels. Key Responsibilities:
• Consult with LTC staff on best practices
• Conduct specialized nursing assessments
• Educate teams on effective behavioral strategies
• Monitor resident responses to care plans
• Engage in community education initiatives
Requirements:
• Diploma in Nursing;
Bachelor’s degree preferred
• 2+ years in Long-Term Care nursing
• Registered with the College of Nurses of Ontario
• Experience in psychiatric nursing preferred
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
