Position Overview Senior Software Quality Assurance Engineer (full‑time, Monday to Friday, flexible hours, onsite in Longueuil).
Responsibilities Establish software and airborne electronic hardware (AEH) quality requirements.
Conduct technical audits of software and AEH, both internally and municate quality requirements in compliance with Transport Canada and customer demands.
Support engine programs for the review of quality and software development plans and conduct compliance audits.
Prepare audit checklists, audit reports and presentations.
Generate and track corrective action reports.
Develop software quality requirements based on AS9100 and regulatory requirements for flight‑critical and manufacturing software.
Provide leadership, training and technical guidance to junior team members.
Implement ongoing process improvement by updating standard work, checklists and adopting lean methods.
Present audit results to management and certification authorities.
Day‑to‑Day Activities Typical tasks include establishing quality requirements, performing audits, communicating with stakeholders, preparing reports, and driving continuous improvement.
What You Need to Be Successful Bachelor or technical degree in Engineering, Aerospace, Control Systems, Software Engineering or Quality with at least 10 years experience.
Experience with AS9100, ARP
4754, DO‑178, DO‑254, CMMI, MIL/DoD or NASA standards.
Strong background in software/hardware development, testing or quality assurance.
In‑depth knowledge of quality management systems and ability to update software quality requirements.
Leadership capability and project management skills.
Strong organization, written and presentation skills.
Attention to detail and curiosity in reviews and audits.
Ability to work independently in an unstructured environment and handle multiple priorities.
Familiarity with software configuration management and requirements management tools.
Good computer skills (PowerPoint, Excel, Word, Access).
Occasional travel to audit suppliers.
Proficient in English for reading, writing and communication;
French fluency required in the workplace.
