This role sits within the Quality Manufacturing team and plays a critical role in ensuring aerospace components meet all dimensional and quality requirements before production release. The successful candidate will act as a bridge between Engineering, Manufacturing, Quality, and CMM Programming teams by transforming engineering drawings and manufacturing documentation into complete inspection plans and measurement strategies.
If you have experience in metrology, dimensional inspection, GD&T, First Article Inspection (FAI), CMM inspection, or manufacturing quality , we'd love to speak with you.
What You'll Be Doing Develop detailed CMM inspection packages for production and First Article Inspection (FAI) activities.
Review engineering drawings, GD&T requirements, manufacturing routings, and production documentation.
Analyze manufacturing processes from raw material through finished product.
Define inspection methodologies and dimensional verification strategies.
Collaborate with CMM Programmers to translate inspection requirements into executable programs.
Review and assess FAI/FAIR results to ensure compliance with engineering specifications.
Approve and release CMM programs for production use.
Investigate and troubleshoot dimensional inspection and metrology-related issues.
Support process improvements related to inspection accuracy, repeatability, and efficiency.
Work cross-functionally with Engineering, Manufacturing, and Quality teams.
Requirements:
Diploma or degree in Engineering, Manufacturing Technology, Metrology, or related technical discipline.
Experience with CMM inspection and metrology principles.
Experience working with MOS or manufacturing planning documentation.
Knowledge of First Article Inspection (FAI) processes and quality requirements.
Compensation: $35/hr to $50/hr
Exact compensation may vary based on several factors, including skills, experience, and education.
Benefit packages for this role will start on the 31st day of employment and include medical, dental, and vision insurance, as well as short-term and long-term disability, life insurance and AD&D. Employees will also have access to a registered retirement savings account with employer matching. Employees in this role are also entitled to sick leave and/or other paid time off as provided by applicable law.
