SUMMARYThe Property Manager position supports and assists in the management of commercial real estate in accordance with the Management Agreements. The Property Manager is involved in all aspects of day-to-day operations of the property, including accounting, tenant relations, maintenance and repair, security, janitorial services, landscaping, snow removal, etc. The Property Manager handles tenant complaints and service requests, and preventative maintenance. The Property Manager assists in the preparation of the annual budget, reporting, capital planning and financial performance of the property.
KEY DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIESMaintain positive tenant relationships through professional & effective responsiveness & proactive consideration of tenant issues, thereby ensuring that tenant expectations & landlord criteria are being consistently metAct as direct tenant liaison to ensure that all tenant construction activity & landlord work are well-coordinated, organized & proactively managed, & in fulfillment of lease obligationsMeet with property management team, tenants, vendors, contractors & senior management as needed to review & provide support to resolve operational challenges & implement new initiativesResponsible for all relevant tenant communicationsAccountable for the health & safety of operations within the buildingHold shared accountability for building presentation to ensure PWGSC best-in-class image is upheld at all times at the complexProvide assistance in the fulfillment of the maintenance & upkeep of ongoing resources & performance metrics including to meet program requirements & ensure maximum effectivenessCoordination of tenant events, tenant appreciation events & tenant meetingsAssist in the preparation & implementation of initiatives to increase & uphold the quality & effectiveness of tenant relationsEnsure insurance & contract files are complete, accurate & currentLead & develop junior property management staffLiaise with the PWGSC TA on an ongoing basisManage inspection & audit process for services deliveredManage & report non-conformances & critical incidents (AWARE)Other duties as requiredKNOWLEDGE & SKILLS
More than three years up to five years of job related experienceCommunity college diploma or equivalent trainingAbility to effectively communicate both orally and in writing with peers, managers and clients. (French and English)Strong working knowledge of MS Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Excel.3+ years of directly relevant Commercial Real Estate Property Management experience.Security level 2 clearanceLicenses and/or Professional Accreditation
