Responsibilities
  • Manage a portfolio of grant partnerships and maintain partner relationships.
  • Support grant partners with project implementation, problem‑solving, and reporting.
  • Oversee all stages of grant management, including partner validation, application assessment, contract drafting, approvals, and monitoring.
  • Support grant program launch, orientation, and implementation.
  • Ensure quality control and monitoring of assigned grant programs.
  • Collaborate with program teams to address challenges and align solutions with grant partner needs.
  • Maintain tracking tools and project files to ensure accurate reporting.
  • Ensure grant lifecycle compliance with policies and guidelines, recommending process enhancements.
Qualifications
  • Minimum of 4-5 years of experience and a 1-2 year post‑secondary certification/diploma and/or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Experience in grants and/or program administration and monitoring of programs and projects.
  • Professional experience with First Nations, Inuit and/or Métis Nations or communities.
  • Active in broader Indigenous networks and a commitment to sharing and advancing knowledge derived from Indigenous knowledge systems, balancing Western and Indigenous world views.
  • Strong communication skills, diplomacy and empathy to interpret information and deliver advice, clarify client or stakeholder needs, offer solutions, and resolve escalations in new or somewhat sensitive situations.
  • Ability to manage multiple grants simultaneously, track deadlines, and ensure successful program implementation.
  • Ability to ensure accuracy in grant proposals/applications, financial reports, and compliance documentation.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint), SharePoint and database management tools.
  • Written and oral communication skills in English (required);
    French is considered a strong asset.
Working Conditions
  • The majority of the work is performed in an office or home environment.
  • Some work may be performed in an environment which may have varying degrees of impact from the disaster or emergency situation.
  • Work requires the ability to work to deadlines.
  • Requirement to travel within Canada.
  • A valid driver's license with a satisfactory drivers’ abstract is required.
  • Eligibility to work in Canada is required.
  • Pre‑employment screening will include a satisfactory Enhanced Police Information Check (E‑PIC).
