In this role, the Youth Addictions Counsellor will engage with clients to facilitate recovery and support. Responsibilities include delivering individual and group counselling, managing case files, and implementing effective care plans. Collaborate closely with other therapeutic professionals to foster communication and coping skills among clients.
Key Responsibilities:
• Deliver individual counselling sessions to support youth
• Facilitate group therapy using the Stages of Change model
• Keep detailed documentation in client records
• Enforce compliance with safety standards and guidelines
• Nurture ongoing relationships to support youth clients
Requirements:
• Diploma or Degree in a related field required
• 1-3 years of relevant work experience
• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
• Clear criminal record and vulnerable sector check required
• Familiarity with First Nations culture is advantageous
