Schedule:

The position is a full-time, 9-month, tenure-track faculty position for fall and spring semesters, with the possibility of summer school and online teaching. Classes and other responsibilities are conducted primarily weekdays but may include evening classes, independent studies, or online responsibilities. Attendance will also be required at some evening and weekend events.

• Responsibilities include classroom and laboratory-based teaching and research in the Engineering Technology concentrations, advising students and serving on various university committees.
• Teaching duties may include undergraduate teaching in AC/DC Electrical Circuits, Digital Electronics, Advanced Electronics, Electrical Machinery, Instrumentation and Controls, Robotics and Industrial Automation.
• Teaching responsibilities may include both on-site and online delivery methods.

• Applicants must have a strong commitment to undergraduate engineering technology education with a strong emphasis on laboratory instruction. Desired areas of expertise include electrical circuits, digital devices, plant and/or factory instrumentation and controls, as well as the modern needs of industry. Of special interest are candidates with experience in automation, robotics, and mechatronics.
• Candidates must hold a B.S. degree in Electrical Engineering or Electrical Engineering Technology from an ABET accredited institution and a graduate degree (M.S. minimum) in Electrical Engineering or similar. Industrial experience is highly desirable. Successful candidates will demonstrate evidence of outstanding potential in undergraduate teaching.
