This is a nine-month, tenure-track position with rank negotiable based on experience. Classes and other responsibilities are conducted primarily weekdays but could include some evening classes and independent studies. Attendance will also be required at some evening and weekend events.

• Develop and teach topical courses in Technology and Human Flourishing that fulfill the newly revised General Education outcomes
• Serve as a faculty member and teach courses in the candidate’s primary discipline
• Contribute to the strategic vision of the university, especially with respect to the goal of becoming a trusted, national voice on Faith, Science, and Technology
• Maintain excellence in classroom teaching and promote creative and strong pedagogical practices within the course curriculum
• Participate actively in the university learning community by serving on department, school, and/or university committees and special service assignments
• Participate in student advising, success, and retention programs
• Maintain a commitment to academic scholarship in the field of expertise

• An enthusiastic and contagious Christian faith and a commitment to teaching, research, and leadership at a small, dynamic Christian University where the integration of faith and academic excellence is paramount
• Genuine agreement with the university’s Statement of Faith and Community Covenant for life and work at Le Tourneau
• An earned doctorate from an accredited university
• Experience and/or formal training that prepare the candidate to teach in the area of technology and human flourishing
• An ability to think critically, creatively, and biblically about the role and impact of technology in today’s culture
• An ability to effectively communicate subject material and relate to students well
• Interpersonal skills to effectively and professionally interact with students, colleagues, and administrators in a university learning community
