Position: Technical Service Engineer / Product Development Engineer

Your Job

INVISTA is seeking a Technical Service Engineer / Product Development Engineer to join our Product Development team. The position will be physically based out of our site in Longview, TX. This role creates value by supporting customers in optimizing product performance and troubleshooting molding challenges, while contributing to long‑term product development initiatives. Team

You’ll be part of a collaborative Product Development group working closely with commercial, customer service, operations, marketing, and lab teams. This role offers a unique opportunity to engage directly with customers and influence product innovation.

What You Will Do
  • Conduct mold trials and troubleshoot molding issues
  • Write technical call reports and submit lab/sample requests
  • Present technical solutions to internal and external stakeholders
  • Collaborate with customers to identify product needs and recommend solutions
  • Support customer complaint resolution and product performance optimization
  • Promote products at industry conferences
  • Using strong organization, planning and communication skills for internal & external customer presentations
  • Demonstrate INVISTA’s values with a professional demeanor and collaborative mindset
Who You Are (Basic Qualifications)
  • Bachelor’s degree or higher
  • Experience or applied technical knowledge with polypropylene or other olefins
  • Experience resolving customer issues
  • Willing and able to travel 20 – 30% of the time
What Will Put You Ahead
  • Ten (10) or more years’ experience in a technical role working with polypropylene
  • Experience in blow molding, injection molding, and extrusion
  • Five (5) or more years’ technical experience in molding processes
  • Degree in Chemistry or Engineering (preferred but not required)
  • Research & development or formulation experience
