The Grants and Compliance Coordinator plays a critical dual role in supporting organizational growth and risk mitigation. This position is responsible for coordinating grant development and performance monitoring, while also supporting key compliance functions including Federal Tort Claims Act (FTCA) documentation and provider credentialing. Demonstrate strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple work streams in a federally regulated healthcare environment.
Qualifications- Associate's degree in a relevant field (e.g., Business Administration, Healthcare Management, Public Health) or equivalent experience.
- Minimum of two (2) years of experience in grants administration, healthcare compliance, or credentialing.
- Strong writing and organizational skills.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and cloud-based file management systems.
- Bachelor's degree and/or prior experience with Federally Qualified Health Centers (FQHCs), preferred.
- Familiarity with FTCA requirements, HRSA Health Center Program expectations and credentialing standards, preferred.
- Grants Management
- Drafts and assemble grant applications, letters of intent, and required attachments.
- Track and monitor performance metrics and deliverables for active grants.
- Collaborate with program managers to ensure timely reporting and documentation.
- Assist in post-award grant compliance, including recordkeeping and closeout.
- Compliance and Risk Management Support
- Assist in the collection, organization, and submission of documentation related to FTCA deeming, risk management reviews, incident reporting and professional liability claims.
- Support compliance with FTCA requirements including annual risk assessments and related follow-up.
- Maintain credentialing and privileging files in accordance with HRSA, CMS, and organizational standards.
- Coordinate with Human Resources and Clinical Leadership to ensure credentialing files remain current and audit/ready.
- Attention to detail and accuracy in documentation.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
- Discretion and professionalism in handling sensitive information.
- Strong interpersonal communication skills and teamwork orientation.
- Requires sitting, standing and walking for extensive periods of time.
- Requires working under stressful conditions or working irregular hours.
- Requires frequent exposure to communicable diseases, body fluids, toxic substances, medicinal preparations and other conditions common to a clinic environment.
- The employee frequently is required to reach with hands and arms. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
- Ability to work with a moderate noise level in the work environment is required.
- The occupant may, at times, lift and/or move objects up to 30 pounds.
