Zeid Women's Health Center is inviting applications for the Medical Assistant position.

In this role, the Medical Assistant provides assistive care to patients, facilitates efficient delivery of patient care, supports licensed staff, and assists with basic healthcare as directed.

• Interview English and Spanish speaking patients, measure vital signs, and record information on patient charts.
• Prepare treatment rooms for patient examination.
• Drape patients and position instruments and equipment.
• Act as a chaperone during patient examination and assist with procedures.
• Clean and sterilize instruments, inventory and order medical supplies.
• Give injections or treatments and coordinate routine laboratory tests.
• Other duties as assigned.

• High school graduate or equivalent.
• Typically requires 1–2 years experience in a medical setting.
• Valid Texas Driver’s License with acceptable driving record and auto liability insurance meeting state requirements.
• Ability to adhere to all client-related policies and procedures, including confidentiality.
• Spanish speaking preferred.

• Familiarity with medical staff practices.
• Ability to interpret, understand, and carry out orders.
• Capability to establish and maintain good working relationships with coworkers, visitors, and patients; acceptance of supervision.
• Demonstrated interpersonal and communication skills.
• Professional attitude toward patients and personnel.
• Energetic, forward-thinking, and creative with high ethical standards and appropriate professional image.
• Ability to work independently under pressure.
• Superior organizational and problem-solving skills.
