Job Details- 4-day work week with 10-hour shifts
- Full-time position
- Epic experience highly preferred
- Pharmacokinetic dosing experience preferred
- Neonatal medication knowledge preferred
- Emergency medicine experience preferred
- Prepare and dispense drug orders per physician request according to established policies, procedures, and protocols
- Interpret drug orders (verbal and written) and transcribe/verify into computerized patient medication record accurately
- Compound and dispense pharmaceuticals including non-sterile and sterile products, chemotherapy, and parenteral nutrition products
- Issue controlled substances to patient care areas and maintain records as required by law and institutional policies
- Monitor drug therapy regimens for contraindications, drug-drug interactions, drug-food interactions, allergies, and appropriateness of drug and dose
- Assist with pharmacokinetics consult service and renal drug dosing per hospital protocol
- Detect and report suspected adverse drug reactions accurately and in a timely manner
- Provide clinical consultation and clarification to practitioners as appropriate
- Provide drug education to patients and their families per institutional protocol
- Participate in antibiotic stewardship, opioid stewardship, and shortage management activities as assigned
- Attend interdisciplinary rounds when assigned
- Supervise and direct pharmacy support personnel and verify daily activities of pharmacy technicians
- Doctor of Pharmacy or BS Pharmacy degree required
- Hospital experience preferred
- Pharmacy state licensure required
- BLS or ACLS required (AHA only)
- PALS required for pediatric practice (AHA only)
