Job Summary
:
This position is responsible for scheduling and prioritizing all work performed in the assigned area of responsibility; providing quotes for jobs and work order review for customer billing; customer communications; shop safety practices and compliance with shop operating policies. This position has major responsibilities to ensure both internal and external customer satisfaction.

The incumbent in this position is expected to model the following practices daily:

Essential Functions:

• Models promote, reinforces, and rewards the consistent use of HOLT’s Values Based Leadership (VBL) tools, models, and processes to ensure alignment with our Vision, Values, and Mission
• Establishes and mutually agrees upon and communicates job expectations (i.e., accurate price quotes and time estimates) to internal and external customers to ensure customer satisfaction according to our mission and core business values
• Establishes, models, and reinforces safety practices which are consistent with our mission to ensure employee and customer safety
• Models’ collaborative problem solving and personal influencing skills to ensure that service activities in incumbent's area of responsibility are aligned with the overall business plan of the service department and company
• Provides Service Manager with status reports on all open work orders in an accurate and timely manner
• Reviews monthly service operations branch statement to assess progress on department business goals
• Participates in the selection, development, and evaluation of service department personnel to ensure a high level of commitment and competence is available in our human resources
• Works safely always and adheres to all applicable safety policies; comply with all company policies, procedures, and standards
• Performs other duties as assigned

• Critical thinking and problem-solving skills to apply logic and reasoning to identify the strengths and weaknesses of alternative solutions, conclusions, approaches, and prevention to problems
• Knowledge of construction equipment, machines and tools, including their designs, uses, repair, and maintenance
• Computer knowledge and/or experience including Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, Microsoft PowerPoint, and Microsoft Outlook
• Ability to manage multiple priorities
• Ability to read and understand information and ideas presented in writing
• Ability to listen to and understand information and ideas presented through spoken words and sentences

Education and Experience:

• High school or equivalent diploma, or trade school diploma required
• Bachelor’s degree in business management, or related field preferred
• Minimum of 5 years machining service/supervisory experience required
