OverviewTexas Oncology is looking for an Infusion Registered Nurse (RN) to join our team at our Longview location. This is a PRN (as needed) position. Typical hours are Monday – Friday (8:30 am – 5 pm) with no weekends, calls, or major holidays.

Whatdoes the Infusion Registered Nurse (RN) do?
Under minimal supervision, the RN provides professional nursing care for patients adhering to national and company standards. The RN collaborates with the interdisciplinary team to assess and manage patient/family needs, administer therapies, manage medications, perform venipuncture and central line care, maintain accurate documentation, and apply reimbursement procedures.
Responsibilities- Plan, implement, coordinate, evaluate and promote continuity of care consistent with established standards and practices.
- Assess patient/family needs and provide teaching and other instructional material.
- Prepare and administer therapies under the direction and supervision of a physician.
- Administer all medications/blood products using correct dosage, route, time and technique.
- Ensure pre‑authorization and appropriate consent forms are obtained prior to administration of therapies where applicable.
- Facilitate dose modification by assessing patient, labs, protocol and consulting physician regarding dosage modifications.
- Perform venipuncture, access implanted ports and maintain central line catheter devices.
- Maintain accurate documentation of assigned patient care and treatments provided.
- Apply knowledge of reimbursement procedures and charge capture.
- Graduate from an accredited professional nursing education program; BSN preferred.
- Minimum 0–3 years of RN experience; open to entry, mid‑level or senior candidates.
- Current RN license in the state of practice.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
