Overview
A freestanding ER in Longview, TX is seeking a Culinary Services Line Cook to join their team. The Culinary Services Line Cook will strive to provide proficient, competent care.

Requirements and Qualifications for the Culinary Services Line Cook
- Knowledge of food preparation and handling techniques.
- General knowledge of safety and sanitation rules and practices.
- Demonstrates knowledge of fire safety procedures.
- Ability to work in high volume, high stress environment.
- Critical thinking skills: ability to work autonomously and make efficient use of time and resources.
- Must be a minimum of eighteen (18) years of age.
- Demonstrated competency of Physical Assessment within 90 days, as evaluated by Culinary Services Manager.
- Sufficient manual dexterity to operate a fire extinguisher and to manipulate kitchen equipment, including slicer, chopper, processor, knives, etc.
- Ability to get along well with others; demonstrates a high level of sensitivity and interest in people, especially older adults.
- Ability to read, write, speak, and understand the English language.
- Ability to use simple math concepts.
- Food Handler’s Permit required and kept current.
- Previous cooking/food service experience, preferred.
- High School Diploma or GED.
