Who We’re Looking For

We want a proactive professional who doesn’t wait for instructions but dives in, anticipates needs, and gets things done. You’re analytical and already leveraging tools (like inventory software and data analytics) to work smarter and faster. Able to work in a busy warehouse operation, someone who earns trust through action and builds strong relationships with vendors and internal teams. If you can juggle stock levels, forecast demand, and negotiate terms while keeping costs in check, you’re the kind of efficiency expert we need to support our field operations.

This role is based in Longview, WA.

What You’ll Do

As our Buyer/Planner, you’ll handle purchasing and inventory planning for tools, PPE, and consumables, ensuring timely availability while balancing costs and stock levels. This isn’t just transactional—it’s about strategic management, execution, and collaboration.

Pay Range

$25 – $30 per hour (DOE), FLSA non‑exempt (OT eligible).

  • Issue purchase orders and track their status to ensure timely delivery.
Inventory Planning & Management
  • Monitor stock levels and usage trends using inventory management software.
  • Develop and maintain reorder points and minimum stock levels for critical items.
  • Forecast demand based on construction project timelines, seasonal trends, and historical usage data.
  • Conduct regular cycle counts and reconcile inventory discrepancies.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key vendors.
  • Track supplier performance (on‑time delivery, quality, responsiveness) and hold them accountable to agreed standards.
  • Resolve vendor‑related issues such as backorders, pricing errors, or returns.
  • Work closely with the warehouse, tool repair, customer service, and construction teams to understand site needs and delivery timelines.
  • Support project managers with sourcing or substitution of unavailable items.
  • Collaborate with the receiving team to ensure proper intake and documentation of goods.
  • Maintain accurate procurement and inventory records.
  • Prepare reports on purchasing activity, inventory turnover, and cost savings.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies and safety regulations related to procurement and PPE standards.
