This Per Diem opportunity is seeking an MD or DO who will primarily support the inpatient behavioral health unit, in a recently remodeled and expanded 22 bed locked down unit, located in the hospital.

The outpatient clinic is short a two-minute drive away. The mission driven behavioral health program represents Peace Health St. John Medical Center's commitment to providing compassionate, patient-and-family centered care based on the best practices in medicine today. • Join a team of 4 psychiatrists, 3 nurse practitioners, therapists, licensed clinical social workers, licensed mental health counselors, nurses, and a dedicated ancillary staff.
• Treat both voluntary and involuntary patients ages 18 and over with acute psychiatric and behavioral disturbances in the safety of a newly renovated locked 22-bed unit.
• Provide consultation and liaison services throughout the hospital. Integrated behavioral health services are available in primary care.
• Telepsych will be incorporated with this opportunity.
• Opportunity to participate in the Spravato Clinic and Opioid detoxification and treatment through a buprenorphine (suboxone) program
