- Tear down and rebuild hydraulic, electrical, and powertrain systems; weld, fabricate, and get iron moving before the next shift.
- Order parts like a strategist—knowing overnight vs. next week can save six figures in downtime.
- Preventive Maintenance & Shop Excellence
- Execute PMs on schedule: oil analysis, track SAG, boom inspections—so breakdowns stay rare.
- Keep your bay and service truck surgical‑clean; every tool shadowed, every shelf labeled, every fluid drum current.
- Safety & Operational Leadership
- Lead daily tailgates, spot hazards first, and set the tone that zero incidents is the only acceptable number.
- Act as the proactive liaison between shop and field, translating superintendent panic into prioritized repair plans.
- Parts & Vendor Stewardship
- Manage parts inventory and keep the critical‑spares list one click ahead of reality.
- Forecast seasonal needs (winter DEF heaters, summer A/C charges) so the fleet never blinks.
- Experience: 5+ years troubleshooting and repairing hydraulic & electrical systems on heavy machinery and trucks.
- Skills: Repairing Diesel/gas engines, hydraulic schematic fluency, electrical diagnostics with meter & scanner, and light welding/fabrication.
- Mindset: Strategic, with a knack for problem‑solving, change management, and driving fleet adoption of new tech.

- Education: High school diploma or GED; vocational diesel/heavy‑equipment training strongly preferred.
- Preferred: Class A CDL, ASE Heavy Truck or Master Tech certs, factory schools (Cat, Cummins, Genie).
