Entry-Level Technician

GW Systems is a UL-certified engineered systems distributor and contractor specializing in comprehensive life safety and integrated security solutions for medium to large commercial and industrial facilities, both locally and internationally. Due to continued growth, we are looking to add an Entry-Level Technician to our team in Longwood, FL. This position is ideal for individuals looking to start a career in systems installation, service, and technical support. The Entry-Level Technician will assist senior technicians with installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting, while learning industry best practices and technical skills.

• Assist with the installation, configuration, and testing of systems and equipment
• Perform basic troubleshooting and maintenance tasks under supervision
• Support service calls and on-site visits as needed
• Follow company procedures, safety standards, and project documentation
• Maintain tools, equipment, and job site cleanliness
• Communicate effectively with team members, supervisors, and customers
• Accurately complete work orders, reports, and required documentation
• Participate in training programs to develop technical skills and product knowledge

• High school diploma or equivalent required
• Basic mechanical, electrical, or technical aptitude
• Willingness to learn new systems, tools, and technologies
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
• Ability to follow instructions and work as part of a team
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
• Ability to pass background checks or drug screening if required

• Technical coursework, certifications, or trade school experience
• Previous hands-on experience in a technical, construction, or service role
• Familiarity with hand tools, power tools, or basic networking concepts

• Ability to lift to 50 pounds
• Ability to stand, walk, climb ladders, and work in varying environments
• Ability to work indoors and outdoors as needed
