SACRED HEART CHAPEL – BUSINESS MANAGER POSITION (CLASS SUPERVISOR)
Full‑time position supporting Sacred Heart Chapel Pastor.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS- Fully initiated, practicing Roman Catholic with a strong commitment to holistic, experience‑based, and ongoing formation in the Catholic faith and spirituality.
- Experience in the Hispanic community and bilingual (Spanish/English) proficiency.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills; sound decision‑making and effective teamwork.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Publisher, PowerPoint).
- Ability and motivation to quickly master additional software programs (e.g., ACS Technologies, Ministry Schedule Pro, parish website maintenance, social media outreach).
The Business Manager supports the Sacred Heart Chapel Pastor, staff volunteers, and parish in their mission to live as an engaging Catholic community rooted in Hispanic culture. The role includes planning, coordination, and oversight of parish operations, financial administration, volunteer management, and facility maintenance while upholding confidentiality and a sense of urgency.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES- Collaborate with parish staff on the overall spiritual mission.
- Report to the Pastor, consult with staff, and communicate with the Diocese of Cleveland.
- Oversee volunteer groups in collection and cash handling procedures.
- Supervise maintenance, custodial, and kitchen staff on facility issues.
- Manage the Parish Main Office staff on administrative procedures.
- Work with the Parish Finance Council on annual budget and planning.
- Ensure safety regulations are followed for all parish facilities.
- Attend parish meetings related to duties and responsibilities.
- Travel locally as required.
- Maintain the schedule and calendar of parish facilities and monitor facility keys.
- Coordinate with parish fundraising volunteers for annual fundraising activities (e.g., Parish Picnic, Night of the Races).
- Monitor insurance, risk management, and safety protocols.
- Identify, recruit, train, and supervise volunteers for appropriate functions.
- Perform other duties related to the position as requested by the Pastor.
- Successfully pass a background and criminal history check.
