Position OverviewQineti
Q US is seeking a detail‑oriented and reliable Senior Accountant to support Finance & Accounting operations in a fast‑paced, federally regulated environment. As a key member of the Accounting team, you will manage journal entries, trial balance trends, balance‑sheet reconciliations, and support GL activities in alignment with corporate objectives and federal compliance requirements.
- Manage day‑to‑day accounting operations, including general ledger entries and maintenance.
- Support month‑end and year‑end close processes and ensure timely and accurate financial reporting.
- Prepare journal entries as assigned, ensuring timely and accurate completion of all tasks.
- Prepare and maintain assigned balance‑sheet account reconciliations.
- Assist in preparing financial statements and supporting schedules for leadership and external auditors.
- Support DCAA audits, incurred cost submissions, and other government financial reviews.
- Assist in developing, implementing, and maintaining accounting policies and procedures.
- Maintain documentation for audit readiness and internal controls compliance.
- Prepare ad‑hoc financial reports and analysis as needed.
- Partner with cross‑functional teams, including payroll, IT, HR, and other departments.
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field.
- 5+ years of experience in accounting, corporate finance, or accounting.
- Strong analytical and financial modeling skills; proficiency in Excel and financial systems (e.g., Deltek Costpoint, Oracle, or similar ERP systems).
- Expertise with Microsoft Office applications.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to work cross‑functionally.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities independently and thrive in a deadline‑driven environment.
- Working knowledge of FAR, DCAA, and federal compliance frameworks.
- Experience with in a federal contracting environment.
