About The Opportunity
The Estimator plays a critical role in ensuring accurate, competitive, and comprehensive project estimates for complex, multi-million-dollar projects. This role requires deep knowledge of construction and fabrication, strong analytical skills, and the ability to build trusted relationships across teams, clients, subcontractors, and suppliers. Design and Production Inc. (D&P), a part of Chargeurs, brings world class museum experiences to life. We’re growing — and we’re looking for an experienced Estimator to join our team.
LocationLorton, VA (on‑site, Monday–Friday).
What You’ll Do- Prepare detailed cost estimates for large-scale, multi-year projects.
- Review and analyze project specifications and drawings to define scope of work.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with subcontractors, suppliers, and clients.
- Partner with project managers to provide cost analysis throughout the project lifecycle.
- Ensure estimates are accurate, complete, and competitive.
- Stay current with industry trends, materials, and methods; contribute to continuous improvement in estimating practices.
- 7–10 years of experience in construction and estimating.
- Strong knowledge of construction methods, materials, and regulations.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency with estimating software and tools.
- Strong collaborative and communication skills.
