Senior Level Dev Ops Engineer
Location: Lorton, VA (Hybrid – 2 days/week on-site)
Clearance Required: Active Top-Secret with ability to obtain SCI and CI Polygraph
Compensation Range: $210,000 – $260,000 (annualized USD)
Description:
Join a mission-driven team as a Senior Level Dev Ops Engineer, supporting a highly technical program with both cloud and on-premises environments. You’ll play a pivotal role in designing, implementing, and maintaining Infrastructure as Code (IaC), Continuous Integration and Continuous Delivery (CI/CD) pipelines, and infrastructure automation solutions.
This hybrid position places you in close collaboration with developers, operations teams, and mission stakeholders to ensure rapid, reliable, and secure delivery of software products. The role offers the opportunity to drive Dev Ops best practices, mentor junior engineers, and directly impact the speed and quality of mission capabilities.
While the position is hybrid with two days per week on-site in Lorton, VA, there will be occasional multi-day on-site workshops throughout the year for intensive collaboration.
Responsibilities- Architect, design, and maintain scalable Infrastructure as Code solutions using tools such as Terraform, Ansible, or Cloud Formation.
- Build, optimize, and maintain CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins, Git Lab CI/CD, or Circle
CI to enable rapid, reliable, and secure software delivery. - Implement and manage containerization and orchestration solutions using Docker, Kubernetes, or Amazon ECS.
- Deploy and maintain monitoring and logging solutions (e.g., Prometheus, Grafana, ELK Stack, Datadog) to ensure system health, performance, and rapid issue resolution.
- Enforce and enhance security best practices across CI/CD pipelines and infrastructure environments.
- Collaborate with developers, QA, and product teams to streamline the software development lifecycle.
- Participate in Agile ceremonies, contributing to planning, estimation, and prioritization of Dev Ops initiatives.
- Provide technical leadership and mentorship to junior engineers, fostering growth in Dev Ops skills, tools, and methodologies.
- Design and implement cloud-native architectures using AWS, Azure, or GCP services.
- Perform light network administration duties to maintain test environments and coordinate with primary network administrators.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field (Master’s preferred) OR 4 additional years of experience in lieu of degree.
- 8+ years of professional experience in Dev Ops or software development, with substantial experience designing and implementing Dev Ops solutions.
- Expertise with IaC tools (Terraform, Ansible, Cloud Formation).
- Proficiency in CI/CD automation (Jenkins, Git Lab CI/CD, Circle
CI, Atlassian Bamboo). - Experience with containerization (Docker) and orchestration (Kubernetes, Amazon ECS).
- Skilled in monitoring and logging (Prometheus, Grafana, ELK Stack, Datadog).
- Strong knowledge of cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP).
- Scripting and development experience with:
- Python (pipenv, pex, or similar packaging tools)
- C/C++ (cmake, Makefiles, debugging)
- PostgreSQL or similar database development experience
- Shell scripting
- Git for version control
- Ability to implement secure, compliant Dev Ops processes.
- Experience participating in Agile teams and ceremonies.
- Hands-on experience with automated testing frameworks.
- Knowledge of additional Dev Ops tools such as Packer or Terraform Cloud.
- Familiarity with hybrid cloud/on-premises integration.

Salary at Intezra is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual’s particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract‑specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $210,000 to $260,000 (annualized USD).
