** About the role
**** Job Overview:
** The Back Plant Operator is responsible for Dischargers (bottom ash/stoker) or APC (Air Pollution Control equipment). General tasks would include routine checks of equipment, troubleshooting equipment, and supporting Plant operations under the direction of the supervisor or control room.
*
* Key Responsibilities:

*** Performs daily routine inspections of assigned equipment and fills out necessary log sheets according to procedures.
* Monitor and maintain proper operation of Slakers, Dischargers, and Air Pollution Control equipment.
* Perform general housekeeping of the work area or other areas of the plant;
Clean conveyor spillage as needed.
* Perform and document inspections of equipment to identify and report equipment malfunctions.
* Perform or assist in preventive maintenance, as required, including proper lock out tag out of these systems.

* Qualifications:

*** GED/HS Diploma preferred;
* Reworld offers GED Works – a fully funded program for employees to achieve their GED.
** Experience operating forklift and skid steer preferred.
** Physical Demands:
*** Ability to walk, stand, sit, and climb
* Ability to lift/carry 50lbs
* Ability to work from heights and in confined spaces
* Qualify to wear a full-face respirator
* Consistently work in various weather conditions
** Shift Work**:
* 5 shifts on, 2 shifts off, 2 shifts on, 5 shifts off, rotating 12-hour days/nights.
