Insight Global is looking for an Accounting Manager in Los Alamitos, CA to join a cutting-edge aerospace organization renowned for delivering advanced composites, precision assemblies, and tooling solutions that power the future of flight. In this role, you will be steering critical operations like treasury management, general ledger close, financial reporting, and internal controls compliance. Additionally, you will contribute your expertise in technical accounting research, mentor a high-performing team, and champion process improvements that elevate systems and workflows across the organization.

Responsibilities Include:

• Treasury Management: Oversee daily liquidity reporting, cash forecasting, bank reconciliations, and payment coordination.
• General Ledger Close
  :
  Lead month/quarter/year-end close, review journal entries and reconciliations.
• Financial Reporting: Prepare financial statements in line with U.S. GAAP and support internal/external reporting.
• Internal Controls: Ensure compliance, document and test controls, and support remediation efforts.
• Technical Accounting: Research and apply accounting standards and policies.
• Team Management
  :
  Supervise a team of 2-3 individuals alongside the Controller.
• Process & Systems Improvement: Identify and implement process enhancements; work with IT on system upgrades.
• Analysis & Projects: Support audits, perform ad-hoc analysis, and contribute to special projects.

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
• 3+ years of progressive accounting (including payroll and tax reporting)
• Experience in supervisory or managerial role supporting accounting functions
• Accounting experience with a manufacturing organization
• Strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP and SEC reporting requirements
• Exposure to inventory accounting using absorption costing
• Exposure to ASC 606
