Each of Cen Exel’s research sites specialize in Phase I to Phase IV clinical trials. Our Centers of Excellence comprise some of the most well‑respected and long‑standing research facilities in the country, with specialties in Psychiatry, Acute Post‑Op Pain, Asian Bridging, Dermatology, GI, and Neurology. The sites have in‑patient capability and a strong focus on quality, teamwork, and experienced clinical research managers.
Schedule& Hours
3:00 pm – 11:30 pm (Monday‑Friday) with rotating weekends. Training will require working the AM shift for 2‑3 weeks.
CompensationHourly range: $39.00 – $43.00, depending on education, experience, and skillset.
Key Responsibilities- Provides general nursing care to study participants as needed, including monitoring vitals, blood sugar, lab tests, etc.
- Reviews and executes clinical research protocols.
- Completes and maintains study documents in accordance with sponsor and site requirements.
- Recruits potential study subjects and screens for eligibility, scheduling assessments per the Delegation of Authority Log.
- Maintains Case Report Forms in agreement with source documentation and study protocol.
- Accompanies sponsor representatives during visits and maintains ongoing communication with sponsors.
- Maintains adequate inventory of all data and supplies.
- Attends training, staff, initiation, study start‑up, and other assigned meetings regularly.
- Observes, documents, reports, and follows up on adverse events and serious adverse events.
- Conducts the informed consent process per Cen Exel SOPs.
- Follows up appropriately on all laboratory results.
- Ensures safety standards when performing job responsibilities.
- Maintains study logs and site relations.
- Ensures proper collection, processing, and shipment (if applicable) of laboratory specimens.
- Is on call to answer questions for other support staff, study patients, or medical staff as necessary.
- Assists with quality assurance activities and completes queries as applicable.
- Obtains Principal Investigator signatures on necessary documents.
- Oversees or coordinates the administration of investigational medication and follows subjects through the study stay per protocol.
- Ensures accountability and adequate supply for study and clinical drugs.
- Assumes other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
- Must be a Registered Nurse with a current license in CA.
- Must be capable of performing all clinical tasks relevant to licensure and/or training.
- Must communicate clearly and verbally with patients.
- Must have good interpersonal skills, demonstrated through interactions with patients, staff, and sponsor representatives.
- Must be self‑motivated and able to perform tasks independently.
- Ability to react calmly and effectively in emergency situations.
- Must reflect the professional image of the company, upholding the company vision in actions and demeanor.
- Indoor office environment.
- Essential physical requirements include sitting, typing, standing, and walking.
- Lightly active position with occasional lifting up to 20 pounds.
- Reporting to work on schedule is essential.
