Under the supervision of the Clinical Manager, the Coordinator actively assists in the coordination of day‑to‑day activities in the assigned Service Line. The Coordinator takes a leading role in servicing and orienting new staff, performance improvement, scheduling, and working with physicians for improved outcomes, and instructs new employees. The Technical Coordinator ensures effective communication with physicians, circulating nurses, surgical technicians, ancillary staff, and patients to maintain an environment conducive to the patient’s well‑being.

Required Qualifications:
- Good Organizational Skills
- Acute Care Experience
- BLS Certification from the American Heart Association
- Must possess the skill, knowledge and ability essential to the successful performance of assigned duties
- Must demonstrate customer service skills appropriate to the job
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English
- Ability to maintain a work pace appropriate to the workload
- Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships across the Health System
- Surgical Tech Certificate
- Minimum 5 years experience in Service Line assigned
- Graduate from Accredited Surgical Tech Program
- Completion of medical terminology class or knowledge of medical terms
- Computer knowledge
- High School Diploma or GED
- Knowledge of university and medical center organizations, policies, procedures and forms
