American Traveler is hiring an experienced ICU RN for a night shift position requiring CA RN licensure and at least one year of ICU experience.
Details- ICU setting within a hospital environment
- Night shift schedule (3x12 hours, 7:00 PM-7:30 AM)
- On-call required as needed
- Floating required as needed
- Epic EMR experience required and must be noted in work history
- Active CA RN license required in-hand at time of application (EMSA not accepted)
- BLS and ACLS certifications required in-hand
- Minimum of 1 year of recent ICU experience required within the past two years
- Minimum of 1 year acute care experience required
- Epic EMR experience required and must be documented in work history
- Two supervisor references required
- Skilled in cardiac monitoring and emergency response
- Experienced in management of dysrhythmias
- Proficient in IV therapy, arterial line, and central line care/management
- Experience titrating cardiac and vasoactive drips
- Experience with BiPAP/CPAP management and care of ventilated patients
- Experience with ETT and NT suctioning
- Knowledgeable in isolation precautions and PPE use
- Provide direct patient care to critically ill ICU patients, including cardiac and respiratory monitoring
- Manage ventilated and hemodynamically unstable patients using advanced skills such as arterial and central line management
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary ICU care team
- Local candidates accepted at the same pay rate as travelers
- Previous permanent staff must have been separated from employment for at least one year to return as a traveler
- Max of 7 days RTO preferred per 13-week contract, with no RTO permitted during the first two weeks of assignment
- First-time travelers are not accepted unless otherwise noted
