What You Will Do
Are you a talented and driven engineer looking to develop, maintain, and apply a diverse set of engineering capabilities to provide innovative engineering solutions? Los Alamos National Laboratory (LANL) is seeking a skilled professional to join our Engineering Services (ES) Division as a Constructability Review (CR) Engineer. Within ES, the Project Delivery Groups provide engineering facility support ensuring the modification and installation of systems, structures, and components meet operational standards.
In this role you will support commercial non-nuclear facilities across the Laboratory's 38 square mile site, and may also work within nuclear and accelerator facilities. If you're eager to support the Laboratory's scientific and national security mission, this opportunity is for you!
This position will be filled at either the Quality Assurance Engineer 3 or the Quality Assurance Engineer 4 level, depending on the skills of the selected candidate. Additional job responsibilities (outlined below) will be assigned if the candidate is hired at the higher level.
Quality Assurance Engineer 3 ($104,100 - $172,200)
As a CR Engineer 3 you will support the LANL CR Program with your expertise in engineering project delivery requirements, quality management, or both. You will work with the Integrated Project Team (IPT), other CR Team Members, project subcontractors, and LANL project personnel representing engineering and quality constructability requirements. You will be responsible for drafting and/or recording CR Plans, evaluating their effectiveness, and capturing Lessons Learned to incorporate back into the CR Program.
Quality Assurance Engineer 4 ($125,200 - $211,300)
In addition to the duties described above, as a CR Engineer 4, you'll be tasked with mentoring and leading other CR Program team members in the implementation and understanding of CR policies, plans, and procedures, and providing laboratory management with recommendations and advice. Your role will require the establishment and refinement of CR Program processes and procedures. This may include making recommendations to LANL engineering, quality, or other project processes and procedures in order to support the CR Program.
You will also support the Team Lead in work planning, project staffing, and recruitment.
