Position: Radiographer (NM)

Spectra Tech, Inc. is urgently hiring for a Radiographer in Los Alamos, New Mexico

Entry-level role - new hire will receive direct on-the-job training

Certification Requirements

NDT Level I and II

To be considered for certification, a candidate should satisfy the following criteria:

  • Candidates for Digital Radioscopy are required to complete a minimum of 40 hours of training and shall have acquired suitable education and practical experience to assure they are capable of performing the prescribed duties.
  • NDT Level I and II candidates shall require a minimum of 175 hours of practical work experience

NDT Level III

To be considered for certification, a candidate should satisfy one of the following criteria for the applicable NDT level:

(a) Have graduated from a minimum four-year college or university curriculum with a degree in engineering or science,
plus one year's experience in Digital Radioscopy, beyond the requirements of a NDT Level II in an assignment comparable to a NDT Level II or:

(b) Have completed with passing grades at least two years of engineering or science study at a university, college, or technical school,
plus two years' experience beyond the NDT Level II requirements in Digital Radioscopy in an assignment comparable to that of a NDT Level II or:

(c) Have four years' experience beyond the NDT Level II requirements in Digital Radioscopy in an assignment comparable to that of a NDT Level II or:

(d) Hold a current ASNT NDT Level III certificate in the relevant method.

NDT Level II Limited

An NDT Level II limited, henceforth referred to as NDT Level II, individual shall be qualified to:

  • Set up and calibrate equipment
  • Interpret and evaluate results with respect to applicable codes, standards, and specifications and procedures that are approved by the Level III
  • Be thoroughly familiar with the scope and limitations of the methods for which qualified
  • Exercise assigned responsibility for on-the-job training and guidance of trainees
  • Organize and report the results of NDT tests
Security Requirement

Must have the ability to obtain a DOE Q Clearance.
