Job Description & How to Apply Below
Position: Postdoctoral Research Associate in Quantum Many-Body Perturbation Theory
What You Will Do

The Quantum and Condensed Matter Physics Group in the Theoretical Division of Los Alamos National Laboratory (LANL) has an immediate opening of postdoctoral position in the area of theoretical condensed matter physics. The postdoc will focus on quantum many-body perturbation theory and its extension to non-equilibrium problems. The goal is to model scanning tunneling spectroscopy (STS) spectrum of transuranic compounds in combination with machine learning techniques for analyzing theoretical and experimental spectra.

The work will be a combination of developing theoretical and computational methods, along with applying ML techniques. Successful applicants will join a highly collaborative project aimed at unraveling the fundamental properties of transuranic compounds and establishing key fingerprints of bonding and electronic correlations in these systems and be an integral part of a dynamic team of condensed matter theory and experiment scientists at Los Alamos National Laboratory.
