Electrician

This opportunity is available for those looking to join Nova Group, Inc. in a role focused on electrical design, installation, construction, modification, repair, and maintenance.

$30.00/hr - $46.00/hr

Under general supervision, perform work related to the design, installation, construction, modification, repair and maintenance of electrical apparatuses, equipment, and systems; and perform related work as required.

• Adhere to company safety policies and procedures and help implement safe work procedures.
• Be proficient in understanding and reading construction documents, plans, and specifications.
• Coordinate electrical installation.
• Exhibit knowledge of the National Electric Code (NEC) and National Fire Protection Administration (NFPA) codes and regulations pertaining to electrical installation.
• Maintain accurate logs of daily work activities.
• Follow direction from supervisors.
• Accept additional training as required (e.g., safety (OSHA), forklift operation).
• Notify foreman/superintendent of material needs or low stock levels.
• Work collaboratively with journeyman electricians, apprentices, other trades, and coworkers.
• Operate standard electrical tools and equipment such as conduit threaders, benders, hole punchers, ohm meters, volt meters, power tools, and hand tools.
• Operate standard construction equipment such as forklifts, trenchers, compactors, cable pullers/tuggers.
• Perform routine and repetitive tasks, including climbing and maintaining balance on scaffolds or ladders, handling wires and tools, bending, crouching, and lifting objects up to 50 pounds unassisted.
• Have large commercial and/or industrial electrical experience.
• Have experience with underground distribution installation, rigid conduit installation, and electrical distribution equipment installation (Main Distribution Panels, Motor Control Centers, Transformers).
• Have medium voltage experience pulling cable and fire taping.
• Medium and high voltage experience is welcome.
• Fire Alarm and Electrical Control experience is welcome.
• Hold a Washington State Licensed Journeyman electrician license.
• Possess a current OSHA 30 or OSHA 10 card (preferred).
• Willingness to travel is preferred.

Prevailing wage rate plus fringe benefit rate. ($30.00 - $46.00 per hour base rate, $25.00 - $35.00 per hour fringe benefit).
