Jardín de Mariposas is a Reggio inspired school in an incredible natural environment that beckons educators and children to explore, create, question and seek knowledge. We are looking for educators who desire the magic of a campus with a garden, orchard and science lab. We sing, play instruments and have dance and theater productions on our garden stage. Everyday we discover something new and we love it!

• Maintain a positive mindset, positive language and positive, inclusive culture for the children.
• Create a community where every person feels valued and cherished.
• Provide provocations that inspire children to explore, create and ask why.
• Develop Reggio inspired, emergent curriculum and activities that are play based and process based.
• Sing songs and play games.
• Light garden duties and animal care
• Utilize (truly enjoy) the outdoor classrooms and garden for discovery and learning.
• Communicate with parents on a daily basis.
• Write reports reflecting the development of each child to present to parents
• Collaborate with peers to create and innovate in common spaces
• Knowledge of Toilet training and diapering
• Guide children in a positive manner to learn self-care (toilet training, eating, dressing).
• Light cleaning duties including wiping down tables and surfaces and maintaining an organized environment.

• 5+ years of experience teaching in Early childhood
• 18 ECE units minimum
• Practice in Loose Parts, Process Based Art & Science, Desire to be in Nature
• Live Scan fingerprint and criminal background clearance
• First Aid Training, CPR Training,
• Knowledge of DRDP assessment
• Must be able to use a computer with basic proficiency.
• Ability to speak, read and write Spanish and English.
