Join the Global LT community and help provide language lessons to business professionals and their families worldwide. We are hiring an English Language Teacher to provide in-person lessons to two siblings in Los Altos, CA.

  Two children (5 and 8 years old) – back-to-back classes
• Location:
  
  Los Altos, CA 94024 (near Woodland Vista Swim & Racquet Club)
• Preferred start date: ASAP
• Lesson format:
  Face-to-face, in-person

• Availability:
  
  • Monday: 3:00–7:00 PM
  
  • Wednesday: 2:30–4:30 PM
  
  • Saturday: 9:00 AM–12:00 PM
• Lesson Frequency: 3 times per week
• Lesson Duration: 1 hour per child (back-to-back)
• Current English level:
  Complete beginner
• Native/other languages:
  German
• Students’ language needs and goals:
  
  • Grammar foundations
  
  • Building essential vocabulary
  
  • Understanding the culture of their new country
  
  • Learning politeness strategies and social norms
  
  • Giving compliments appropriately
  
  • Making friends and navigating social situations
• Additional Information:
  The teacher must have experience working with children

• Provide engaging and age-appropriate English lessons
• Support social integration and communication skills
• Teach foundational grammar and vocabulary
• Incorporate cultural elements relevant to their new environment
• Prepare child‑friendly activities that promote confidence and conversation
• Encourage polite expression, friendship‑building, and everyday interaction
• Tailor lessons to individual needs during back‑to‑back sessions

• Native or near‑native English proficiency
• Teaching certificate or degree in education, linguistics, or related field
• Experience teaching young children (required)
• Ability to create fun, structured, and culturally relevant lessons
• Strong communication skills and patience
