Tax Accountant

Are you looking to work to support a small CPA firm as a tax reviewer for 3 days a week (24 hours a week)? Do you have at least five years of experience reviewing tax returns for small businesses and individuals using Lacerte software? We are looking for a tax professional to support a nice team in Encino, CA. This role would be an onsite position.

• Tax Return Review:
  Thoroughly review individual, corporate, and partnership tax returns to ensure compliance with tax laws and regulations.
• Quality Control:
  Identify and correct errors, discrepancies, and omissions in tax returns, as well as ensure that all tax calculations are accurate.
• Tax Planning:
  Provide tax planning strategies and recommendations to clients and tax preparers to optimize their tax positions.
• Client Communication:
  Communicate with clients to gather necessary information, clarify tax-related queries, and build strong client relationships.
• Regulatory Compliance:
  Stay up-to-date with changes in tax laws, regulations, and compliance requirements, ensuring that all tax returns are in line with the latest standards.

• Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or a related field. A CPA or Enrolled Agent certification is highly preferred.
• Proven experience in tax return preparation and review, with a strong understanding of federal, state, and local tax regulations.
• Strong attention to detail and analytical skills to identify and rectify tax-related issues.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to work with clients and team members effectively.
• Proficiency in tax software and Microsoft Office Suite.
• A commitment to staying current with changes in tax laws and regulations.
