Audit Senior Associate Overview

Baker Tilly is a leading advisory, tax and assurance firm, with global presence in major U.S. regions and international financial centers. Baker Tilly US, LLP is a licensed independent CPA firm offering attest, tax and business advisory services.

We are recruiting a Senior Associate for our Los Angeles/Santa Monica office to deliver industry‑focused audit and assurance services to middle‑market clients.

• Engage with clients throughout the year to gather information, complete testing and respond to inquiries.
• Plan and supervise the execution of all audit engagement activities.
• Perform substantive testing on client balance sheets and income statements.
• Assess internal control deficiencies and recommend improvements.
• Collaborate with managers and partners on business recommendations derived from audit findings.
• Participate in coaching, mentoring, and firm‑wide development programs.
• Network internally and with clients to build strong relationships.
• Support team development through the Baker Tilly Care and Teach philosophy.
• Engage in social activities and team outings to encourage work‑life balance.

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting or equivalent coursework to sit for the CPA exam.
• CPA preferred or actively pursuing completion of exam.
• At least 2 years of public‑accounting audit experience.
• Strong time‑management, communication, interpersonal, collaboration and problem‑solving skills.
• Leadership, project‑management, organizational and analytical abilities.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Suite.
• Eligibility to work in the U.S. without sponsorship preferred.

For California, Colorado, New York and Washington: compensation range $67,880 – $128,690 (actual compensation varies by skill, experience, qualification and location).
