Tax Experienced Staff Accountant - Tax Senior Accountant

JOB DESCRIPTION

• Willingness to learn and be a team player
• Assist tax manager with tax research and compliance functions
• Assist with developing and implementing revenue-generating concepts
• Prepare and review tax returns (individual, corporate, partnership, etc.)
• Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local tax laws and regulations
• Conduct research and planning according to applicable tax laws and regulations
• Prepare sales tax audits, annual tax forms, projections, and tax notices
• Minimize tax liability through sound and informed application of laws and regulations
• Maintain tax records, related schedules, and reports
• Exercise independent judgment in typical responsibilities
• Other assignments as required

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

• Minimum 3 to 5 years of experience within a CPA Firm
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting required
• Certified Public Accountant (CPA) certification
• Master's degree in Tax is a plus
• Knowledge of commonly used concepts, practices, and procedures
• Proficient in Lacerte, RIA, BNA, and other accounting software
• Excellent verbal communication and interpersonal skills
• Strong leadership skills
