Bookkeeper
Location: Woodland Hills, CA
Position Type: Full-Time (On-Site)
Base Pay Range: $75,000 - $90,000 per year

Overview:We are a reputable and growing personal injury law firm seeking a detail-oriented and dependable bookkeeper to join our team. This position plays a critical role in managing the firm’s day-to-day financial operations and reports directly to the owner. The ideal candidate has a strong background in bookkeeping, preferably within a professional services or legal environment, and thrives in a fast-paced, deadline-driven setting.
Key Responsibilities:- Maintain and reconcile general ledger accounts
- Handle accounts payable and receivable, including vendor management and client invoicing
- Perform bank and credit card reconciliations
- Prepare financial statements and reports for review by the firm owner
- Manage payroll and related tax filings in coordination with payroll provider
- Monitor trust account activity to ensure compliance with legal and ethical standards
- Track and allocate expenses to appropriate matters or clients
- Support budgeting and financial planning processes
- Coordinate with the firm’s CPA or external accountant as needed
- Maintain financial records in accordance with internal policies and regulatory requirements
- Proven experience as a bookkeeper or similar role (2+ years preferred)
- Must have personal injury law firm experience
- Proficiency with Online Quick Books
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Excellent organizational and time-management skills
- Ability to work independently and maintain confidentiality
- Strong communication skills and professional demeanor
- Associate or bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, or a related field (preferred)
- Bookkeeping or accounting certification a plus
- This position requires on-site presence during regular business hours
- Professional office environment within a law firm setting
