Senior Accountant

Position: Staff/ Senior Accountant
We are partnering with our client for an Accounting Manager position. You will oversee the daily operations of the accounting department, manage financial reporting, and ensure adherence to accounting principles and regulations. Exact compensation may vary based on skills, experience, and location. Expected starting base salary $85,000 to $110,000 per year.

Responsibilities:

• Supervise and manage general accounting functions, including accounts payable, general ledger, and taxes.
• Prepare and review financial statements and reports to ensure accuracy and regulatory compliance.
• Assist in the development of budgets and forecasts.
• Analyze financial data and provide insights to senior management to support decision-making.
• Coordinate and prepare for internal and external audits.
• Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations.
• Maintain and reconcile balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements.
• Participate in special projects such as cost analysis for new facilities and marketing budgets for new initiatives.
• Develop and implement financial policies and procedures to enhance efficiency and ensure internal controls.

Requirements:

• Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
• Strong knowledge of GAAP.
• Excellent communication skills, both oral and written, with the ability to convey information clearly to a diverse audience.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to synthesize data to provide actionable insights.
• Demonstrated willingness to learn, with intuition, resourcefulness, and coachability.
• Analytical approach to tasks, with strong problem-solving skills to ensure effective outcomes.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality of sensitive information.

Experience:

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• 4+ years of progressive accounting experience.
